Jodie Edwards 'forgot' her baby in the back seat of her car and went to work from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm on Wednesday, August 20th. As a result, her 11 month old daughter Jenna dies a horible death.
The coroner has ruled Jenna's death the result of heat stroke. Her body temperature was a staggering 110 degrees when taken 1 hour and 15 minutes after she was discovered. Jenna's tiny hands were clenched into fists and she was covered in blisters and burns.
It was at this point that Jodie made a cell phone call that to me, sends up red flags that she did NOT accidentally 'forget' her baby in the car. I do not hear even a trace of emotion, panic, regret, or remorse in this call; but that's just me. Between that and the fact that there was an additional mirror attached to the rear view mirror that allowed her to see clearly into the back seat, I have a hard time believing that this was unintentional.
All that aside; however, what really earned this woman the title of Serious Loser is the 'if only's that have arisen over the past couple days.

If only you cared more about your baby then your career...
If only you thought about your child even once during the day...
If only YOU had called to check on her...
If only you weren't such a Serious Loser...
Jodie even had the gall to state that she couldn't believe that the child care provider hadn't called...
Yeah, thats right Jodie, blame it on the baby sitter for forgetting to call you... oh wait, the baby sitter wasn't expecting the child to be dropped off.
How dare she not recognize what a piss poor mother you were and not make sure to keep track of the whereabouts of your daughter every second of every day and call you to keep you apraised.
'If only' the babysitter was psychic, she would have known that Jodie was going to 'forget' her baby in the car...
In my opinion, the only justice in this case would be if Jodie was sentenced to be locked in her car and placed in the hot sun without food and water until such a time as she died. That, is the only thing that would bring justice for poor Jenna.
